I'm not perfect, but serve a God who is. There are things about God I struggle to understand, but one thing is sure, I have found no greater love. I yearn for an intimate and real relationship with Him, and am simply amazed that God does too. Plus, it’s pretty sweet that I get paid to do what I love to do—share with others the life giving water that was given to me by a man from Nazareth, who is my best friend. I really enjoy helping people see a better picture of God, a portrait painted so beautifully by Jesus—God with us. After thirteen years of being away from San Diego, it feels so good to be back in America’s Finest City!
I have a B.A. in Religious Studies from La Sierra University and an M.Div. from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University, but learning is a lifelong pursuit that never ends.
Besides ministry, nothing brings me greater joy then spending time with family. I’m also a big hockey fan and enjoy not only watching the game, but playing it too. I’ve been happily married for fourteen years to my beautiful wife Martha. In addition, we’re the proud parents of two precious children—Ruben & Mia.
About Seventh-day Adventists
Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as the only source of our beliefs. We consider our movement to be the result of the Protestant conviction Sola Scriptura—the Bible as the only standard of faith and practice for Christians. Our beliefs are meant to permeate your whole life. Growing out of scriptures that paint a compelling portrait of God, you are invited to explore, experience and know the One who desires to make us whole.
