The Harmony of the Gospels
A verse by verse, chapter by chapter Bible Study in the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) in chronological narrative order.  Each of the Gospels tell the narrative about Jesus from their perspective and uniquness.

The Gospel of Matthew (written between 60-65 AD)
Written by Matthew Levi who was a despised tax collector before he becam one of the 12 disciples of Jesus.  He wrote this Gospel to his fellow Jews to prove that Jesus is the Messiah and to explain the Kingdom of God.  Christ is presented as the Son of David, the King of the Jews.

The Gospel of Mark (written between 55-65 AD)
Written by John Mark who was not one of the 12 disciples of Jesus but who accompanied the Apostle Paul on his first missionary journey.  He wrote this Gospel to a Roman culture to present the Person, the work, and the teachings of Jesus.  Christ is presented as the Servant of Jehovah, as the One who though equal with God took upon Himself the form of a servant.

The Gospel of Luke (written about 60 AD)
Written by Dr. Luke, a Greek and Gentile doctor who also was a close companion to the Apostle Paul.  He wrote to his fellow Greeks and Gentiles presenting an accurate account of the life of Christ as the perfect human and Savior.  Christ is presented as the perfect Son of Man.

The Gospel of John (written between 85-90 AD)
Written by John, son of Zebedee, one of the 12 disciples of Jesus, once known as one of the Sons of Thunder.  He wrote this Gospel to show conclusive proof that Jesus is the Son of God and that all who believe in Him will have eternal life.  Christ is presented as the Son of God.
