VISIONEERING 2008
This is a second presentation in a series on LMACC Visoneering 2008 and the future for LMACC. The Church has always been subject to change and growth as it continues to meet the culture of its time. The Jewish/Gentile debate at the Jerusalem Council, the first of many Councils, in the early Church assures the presence of God’s Spirit as the Church crosses these great divides and sometimes frightening challenges. I believe we are living in an era when the Church is approaching another great challenge and must open itself to change if it would fulfill its calling to take the Good News to a new generation and culture. How does LMACC position itself to fulfill its calling to this new generation and culture? As in every era of challenge and change, our primary task is to find and to follow the leading of God’s Spirit, rather than stubbornly insist on the static paths of comfort and convenience that we have become accustomed. As we consider transition, we should remember that the community of those who follow Jesus Christ has endured many upheavals, reformations, and transitions.
